Each year, Enniskillen Tennis Club presents the Neil Gilmore trophy to a junior member who has been an outstanding role model in the club over the previous 12 months. Like the man who has given his name to this trophy, this award recognises not just sporting achievement but places a heavy emphasis on the qualities of sportsmanship shown by the recipient both on and off the court. This trophy holds a special place in the affections of the Club, because Neil had been such a popular figure at Enniskillen for so many years and he represented Fermanagh on a number of occasions.
This year’s recipient is Hannah Davis-Kunze. Hannah has worked hard at the club, regularly volunteering and helping out as a leader at coaching camps and the Friday junior club nights. She is a keen tennis player and is always gracious, whether in victory or defeat. Her ready smile and helping hand has made a difference to many of our younger junior members and most importantly provides them with a very positive role model.
