Western League 2006/7 Presentation Night

On Wednesday the 4th July the Annual Western League Prizegiving took place. Although Enniskillen did not win any of the team leagues this year we did have a strong showing in the singles ladders. Our players returned with ten trophies. Congratulations to the winners.

Susannah Runner Up in Irvinestown

Susannah Hughes Jordan a thirteen year old junior from our club was the shinning light for Enniskillen at the Fermanagh Open. Having beaten our own Eilis Bogue and Alexis Russell, the West Ulster 2007 Champion from Ballymena, on the way to the final high hopes were held for a victory. As this was Susannah's first senior final she was justifiably nervous and the older girl's experience told to give Kerry Russell victory 6 - 3, 4 - 6, 6 - 3. This experience will hold Susannah in good stead for a future of senior finals and she will undoubtably have her name engraved on many trophies.
