Matthew McGann, club coach at Enniskillen Lawn Tennis Club, is the undisputed Champion of Fermanagh. Matthew claimed the title in a win over fellow club member Chris Cleplucha, who had displayed patient point-building to earn a place in the final. McGann broke serve and claimed the first set six games to two, winning the second set with a measured display of hard hitting and precise serving. This was a deserved victory for McGann who takes his first county title in the face of strong competition. Connor Donaldson and Susannah Hughes-Jordan have secured places on the elite Ulster Under-14 Squad to tour Ireland at the end of this month. The squad of only eight children will be on tour for two weeks, taking in tournaments as far away as Castlebar, Limerick and Cork. Recognition at provincial level comes only as the result of hard work on the part of all concerned, and along with Susannah and Connor, Club Coach Matthew McGann must be congratulated in light of the recent achievements within the Junior section of the club.
