BelleekLiving Senior Closed Tournament

The warm September evenings of last week provided perfect weather for Enniskillen Lawn Tennis Club's annual Closed tournament. This year's event sponsored by Belleek Living was hugely successful due in no small part to the tremendous work of Tournament Director, Sonja Hateboer and her band of little helpers.

A record entry ensured every point was hard fought and as the sun shone brightly through Saturday's finals it seemed all their hard work had been worthwhile. Each of the matches produced some memorable tennis most notably the AB Men's Doubles which saw John "Club Night" Griffin and Seamus Carron edge out the classy Christopher Cieplucha and the gritty Clive Bruce.

Adam Donaldoson showed his power in the AB Mens final overcoming the experienced Christopher Cieplucha in his second top flight appearance of the day.

Other winners included Moira Mc Adam and Susannah Hughes Jordan in the AB ladies Final and Bernie Hall in the CD Ladies Singles.

A fantastic tournament by anyone's standards and one that creates the perfect precursor for the up coming Donnelly Bros Autumn League.
