The Neil Gilmour Memorial Shield is awarded each year to the junior who is considered to have made the biggest contribution to the junior section of Enniskillen Tennis Club.
This year’s recipient of the Shield was Declan McBride. Declan has been a member of the junior tennis club in Enniskillen for almost 10 years. He has represented his club in junior tournaments around the province and has been on the senior performance squad under the guidance of club coach Matthew McgGann for several years.
On awarding Declan the trophy, Matthew commented ‘ Declan is one of the most popular junior members amongst his peers, is a regular volunteer at our junior clubnights and always behaves impeccably during his matches. This is why he is fully deserving of this award and an excellent role model for other juniors’.
