The Autumn and Spring Leagues were but two of the competitions at the Enniskillen Tennis Club that the late Seamus Carron regularly featured in. Well known as a man who revelled in competition, Seamus would display a ready smile and good humour both on and off the court that would provide no clue whatsoever whether the match had been won or lost. He had a generosity of spirit in encouraging those not quite so talented as himself to enjoy the game, whether they were playing with him or against him. For a time, Seamus had also been junior co-ordinator which brought to the fore his wide ranging diplomatic and interpersonal skills. Although sorely missed in tennis circles throughout the county, we count ourselves fortunate to have been in his midst and are grateful for the many happy sporting memories he has left us.
